Never stand over something you have just painted with a drink in your hand, especially if the paint is still wet :crap:

Hey Jim,
It is POR15,i buy it QT cans, mix it up up and shoot it through a cheap gun.
The thing with this paint,is that it does not sand off very easy. I think i will just leave it as is,because like MYBad79 said, you will not be able to see the top of the tank when it is back in the car. I still need to paint the bottom of the tank, and i guarantee there will be no drinks in my hand when i pain it.

Looks like a worlds biggest fisheye. Can't you sand and re-spray?

Danny

Yes i could sand it and spray again, but that is the top of the tank and the only way to see it is drop the tank down.
And POR15 does not sand off like regular paint, when you put it on something,it's pretty much there to stay

get some truck bedliner coating for $8 a rattle can and be done with it.... the bottom of the tank is more important as some miniature dude trying to steal your spare tire might actaully be able to see it.... LOL....

I have already put the tank back in the car. bottom of the tank turned out fine.
My spare tire and carrier has been sitting on a shelf for 3 years now, like that 31 y/o tire is going to help me out. Maybe the air in it has some collector value :goodevil:

The build sheet was still attached to the tank, but all off the lettering had long since faded away :(
