So I've been driving without an e-brake since I put the T56 in. The stock cable hits the yoke on the T56 because it sits further back.
Anyways, I've seen someone mount the pulley on the trans to get the clearance needed. But since my cable was already sheared and my e-brake was already broken I took a different approach.
99-04 Mustang e-brakes have the cable gear off to the side. Bolted it to the floor, cut a hole for the cable, mended the remnants of the stock cable with the Mustang cable, voila.
The brake is holding the car in place on the slanted driveway in this pic.
