Dad passed last night. He sure put up a tough fight for a 92 year old man. Went 9 days w/o food or water. He had a seizure a week ago Friday and never really woke up from the coma he went into right after. I think he must have had a stroke along with it. Back when I was a senior at University of Missouri Rolla, and it looked like I would probably graduate, he loaned me $3400 to buy my first Corvette. A fully optioned 67 427 roadster with AC. He also loaned my brother the money for his 69 that I now have. Guess thats not really true, it was the one he put upside down in the creek. He had a reputation of being a little hard headed, but to me He was Special!!!
Guess I got it honest.

RIP Dad:drink:

Hey, the old guy had his head on right....a good man, and so to the ages with many other good men.....

Take care man....remember the fun and funny times....

Sorry to hear about your dad. May he rest in peace.

That was pretty cool of him to loan you the money for your vette.

I'm truely sorry. I know what a loss it is. I've lost both my parents. You had him for a good long time, even though it wasn't long enough.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It helps. I thought it would be easier since he had such a long life, but turned out it was harder than I thought. Still tough holding it together. My friends remind me that he is in a better place and we will all be joining him someday. I sure hope they are right. Pretty sure though, that Dad and I will probably have seats in the upper balcony. We will wave to all you guys down in the front row.

Bob
