And I only really have two. One, obviously, is this PITA rolling fiberglass disaster we're all hooked on like crack.
The other are things that go bang. I swear, I have spent more money in the last few years on SHTF stuff than I'm willing to admit. Of course, with our illustrious leader, it always feels good to practice my guaranteed rights. But I suppose, as I see it, those things will not particularly decrease in value.
Here's just a few:

So in honor of this addiction, feel free to post up some of your favorites!

Figgers, I dunno wether to accuse you of being like me or not...

I too have had a gun hobby, not so actively pursued these daze, for many a year....

but I have a pistol grip 8 shot 12 ga Benelli....in black of course....
and a Ithaca police riot gun.....

plus some pistols.....

used to have various Smith Wessons 27, 28, 29, some autos, various colts, rugers, couple of imports....

rifles....best of the lot was a Belgian Mauser with Douglas barrel, and iron ringed Redfield....custom padded stock 270 Win.....hit a gnat at 500000000 yards....I liked it much better than my 30-06 because it did not beat the living shit outta me with 12 rounds....

a old buddy and I still laugh about me almost blowing a hole in my auto tranny and us would have had to walk about 20 miles to the nearest point of civilization.....we were at what today is a security site....back then it was a old abandoned barn we cut to pieces.....next to a large power plant feeding the DC region...surely shut down tight now a daze....

TONS of funny shit over the years in that hobby....rounds I packed like a madman so hot those .44's would come out with shells about 1/2 inch long, having sheared off the brass with the hot loads.....needless to say I backed off the can after seeing THAT.....Larry says I would disappear in a flash of light even in daytime.....:smash::bump:

then there are the cannons, as REAL CANNONS....for another time....

:surrender:

Got my first rifle(Marlin .22 bolt action)in 1975 and have been Practicing The Right To Bear Arms since. Not included in the pictures are my Glocks 17&19,my LAR Grizzly Mark1.45 magnum,my HK Mark23,and still my favorite and the first on my CCW my Colt .357 King Cobra

Nice looking Steyr. How do you like it compared to the ARs?
I didn't like one very much until I saw one in person. Now I think I must have one at some point.

Much better than my AR's...Back in 89 there was a guy at the range that had one and I thought it was one of the ugliest weapons I've ever seen. He was interested in my HK91 and we started talking about it. I offered to let him shoot it and I really had no desire to shoot his Aug but he offered, It took me about 5 rounds before I got used to Bullpup design of the brass ejecting from the stock but WOW what a weapon.I come to find out he owned 2, one in Black and one in Green so I traded him one of my AR's(a A2 & included 2 stocks and one other carrier & 3 clips)& $200 for the green one plus 3 clips. Its one of the best investments I ever made.

I would have a hard time shooting them pistols, western grips and then the size....only way to hit a damn thing would be if they were 22's.....

I had a Colt Buntline 45 lc once... thought I was Jack Nicholson.....

i breed and race standardbreds (pacers and trotters that pull a sulky around)
here down under. My best horse has won 5 races so far and looks like being a pretty dam good horse.Miss warbucks is her name. You can look her up on www.hrnz.co.nz and go to horse enquiry and look up all her starts and watch replays of her, another nice horse i have is maybe russte, my son who is a junior driver has won 2 races with her.
Well folks thats my other hobby apart from V8s.Both involve horsepower though eh??

There is not much better feelings than watching a horse that you chose the sire for, grow up and then race, and win if you are lucky enough.I have been very very lucky!

Guns, used to go hunting many many years ago with my .308, now only thing i shoot is my camera.Oh, and the other gun lmfao:trumpet:

Really pretty horse. I have some family back east that has horses but I haven't been on a horse for as long as I can remember. Now I'm out west but I have no money or land to afford horses. Besides, I've never been into the cowboy thing but it's a real popular thing out here. Racing like what you do is much more popular back east.
I thought you weren't allowed to own firearms as a civvy down under(?).

yeah, we used to be free and easy til bout 15 years ago with rifles and all new rules came in.You now have to have 2 people vouch for your state of mind and how you behave etc.Never renewed my license,Dont like killing animals anymore, age thing i guess.I watch boston legal and love denny cranes view on guns, lmfao

Yeah missy a nice horse, has a good personality too, boss of every horse around her.I own her dam and she is back in foal to the same super sire!

I turned down 80k for her in january coz i had her valued at 100k.Time will tell, if im right.

cheers cd!

No offense Doug, but I hate these damn things. I spent 15 years in the RAAF with the FNFAL L1A1 SLR then they retired that beasty and introduced the plastic toy thing. I guess they might be ok if you actually own it and don't chuck it around but they sure as shit didn't like being treated like military hardware. Ha, probably 3 out of every 5 people ended up with "Steyr eye" where the scope belted them

Military guys remember: Your weapon was made by the lowest bidder...

No offense taken Wayne.. I had "Steyr eye" a few times myself and your right the weapon was not designed good enough to take a beating. In all truth if I ever had to protect myself and my family in a military situation,I'll be using my HK91 first.

The FAL? Really? Granted, I've only spent one day with it, but the thing is a giant, clunky, complicated beast. I couldn't believe a gun that heavy could kick that hard either. If given the option, I still think the M-14 is the ultimate battle rifle. Short of that, I'll stick with my Garand, it's just the M-14's grandpappy.
