I ordered a new tool box today, one of these bad boys!

4 to 6 weeks before it's here, but I've been waiting years anyway so a few more weeks won't hurt :trumpet:

How long will it take for you to load it up with Speed/performance related stickers???

:beer:

Dunno about stickers and flares and shit but I bought some yellow and black polyethylene "tool control" foam to put in it. Should like good, once I spend weeks cutting out all the shapes! :nuts::bonkers:

Nice box. Tool control foam. Enlighten me...
Two layers of contrasting coloured foam with tool shapes cut out so you can see when a tool is missing. The foam colours I have ordered are black (uppermost) and yellow (underneath). When a tool is missing, you will see a bright yellow "shadow" where the tool should be.

Bit of a military thing I suppose but you'll never leave tools in your car by mistake.

Cute, only thing I ever noticed was padding, I don't even have that, at least you not be totally overstuffed, it's all I can do to keep metric and english separated in a crude but effective way.....Years ago I had a 1/2 inch ply on the side of the cart, hung wrenches, junk, but no room now, wish I had a REAL garage not this substandard POS they build here in Florida....

:cry::(

What will they think of next. I know that when I buy tools I like it when the have brightly coloured handles and stuff. Easier to see before closing the hood.

Tool control "shadow" systems have been around for a while. Tool boards like that were being used when I joined the Air Force in 1984 :beer:

Over the years, I guess I am about even on the junkyard exchange....giving vs. receiving on the tool end of things....

funny thing is, on this camper project, up under the front bumper, was this 9/16 combo wrench on one of the nutz....all rusted up but wedged tight up against the metal, still on the nut....

:D:flash:

Reminds me of the first automotive engine I got to overhaul. A 1948 flathead 6 Ford. When I pulled the oil pan there was a 1/2 x 9/16 offset box end wrench laying n the bottom of the oil pan.
Who knows how long it had been laying there, that was in 1964.
