WELL, THAT didn't take long DID it???!!!

:bump::bounce:

Hey, if you going to die in a clap trap, you may as well do it quickly.....

:amazed::goodevil:

Wheelies at 300 km/h:bonkers::bonkers::bonkers:

300 clicks is what? 20 mph???:3rd:

185 mph:amused:

Confirmed on a GPS, I will believe it, but on a car speedo even with calculated tach backup....sorry, but NO, both tachs and speedos tend to over estimate like MAD, especially at high speeds.....

Math is math Gene---doesn't matter what your speedo says--300 KPH = 186.41 MPH. But regardless of what number any guage reads, fast is just fast, especially on the street.

And I'll add this: While I've never been that fast on a motorcycle or a car, high speed in a car compared to a bike is like aspirin compared to morphine.

Some years ago, I got burnt but good on what I thought was high speed running in the shark, come to find out the speeds were not anything like what was indicated on the tach OR the speedo, come to find that the bullshit sites we have on the net for speedo calibration....where we type in the tire size..275/50/17, then the rear ratio 336, then the drive ratio .70 final tranny .68 (close enough on a 200 4r from other sources) and then they say how much engine rpm for a given speed....since ~2400 rpm equates to 80 mph on my car, with GPS proven accuracy, and my tach for some strange reason likes to over indicate by ~5% starting around 3 grand.....the speeds were grossly over estimated.....

I found my speedo had X amount of teeth in the driven gear....and the correct amount was X plus 10% more teeth making speedo dead nutz accurate from 10 to 80 mph....80 is indeed only 78 mph, but everything else was dead nutz on.....

I believe GPS, not some car instrumentation.....BTW I know my tach is off, it's good to 2500 rpm proven with a Tektronix scope and a digital audio oscillator driving the tach side of the hei with engine still, ignition on.... and tach started gaining on the + side picking up some 300+ rpm early on, and so again over indicated.....

I going to use GPS as the speedo in the camper, screw that old mechanical shit....

:lol::crutches:

At least you're smart enough to realize it Gene. I've calced speeds of almost 150 at Mosport on the long straight, but being a realist, i know my POS can't be doing that.

I don't understand the point of the shitbox. You can get a used formula ford for what it costs, which would be a lot more fun.

Lost a ton of money almost ten years ago here in Florida, bad business ventures....not buying any more vehicles.....no matter what....

:thumbs:

Motorcycles just don't impress me whatsoever.
OK, for all the oldies on this forum, turn up your speakers you need to play this LOUD:

building shit like this is fun.... buy some lightweight car like a GeoMetro and throw a Hayabusa engine in there.... junked Geo: $500 ... Junked bike: maybe $1000 .... definitely going to be :cool:
