Collective, please correct me if I am wrong. I am under the impression that the majority of Nobel Prizes are judged and distributed out of Sweden, but the Peace Prize originates from Norway. I don't understand the logic there, but perhaps it does protect the majority of the prizes (for Medicine, Physics, etc) from being tainted by the silly, and obviously ideologically based, choices made by the Oslo committee.
