Not sure if this thread is a better fit in the fabrication section ... Might move it later.... Anyways...... Aren't you tired of having to use a funnel when you add oil ????summit/jegs .... Put oil filler neck in the search box and this little nice filler neck pops up..... Mainly intended for the Ford guys but with very minor work it fits any cast aluminum valve cover :

It takes drilling a 1 1/2" (38mm) hole in the cover and my new favorite: JB Weld

Now you can add oil without a funnel :)

It really annoyed the crap out of me .....

EHHHH....too much heat/oil/vibration, methinks the JBWeld will come lose and that willl fall off....I would tie a tight wire around the tube for a while then lose to a secure point that keeps it off the headers when it falls.....:shocking::crap:

82s had those standard. Screws in original filler hole.
Doesn't look as nice as that one though :)

I used JB weld once to plug the air tube holes in an exhaust manifold. Ran it for along time like that, the JB weld never came out. 73 pontiac firebird.

Haha, guess I should have been more specific on the details....

The filler neck tube has a step at the end, it's inserted from the inside of the valve cover. With the JB weld epoxy on the 1 1/2" diameter and the baffle that is bolted to the cover from the inside it will take a bit to break this tube off the cover....the baffle is actually covering the tube so even if it breaks it cannot go inside the valve cover.....
