Oil pressure gauge, where?

Is there an easily accessible port on the block to put in an oil pressure gauge? My manifold transmitter doesn't seem to work and I can't even touch it with all the wires and hoses on top of it.

I put all new rod bearings in the thing this weekend, they ALL showed copper at the top. Even though it seems to run OK now I'm paranoid and want to see some oil pressure. And with that, what's typical? 10 PSI per 1000 still valid with these engines?

Thanx in advance, Steve

I don't know if there is another port, but I just use the one that the sender plugs into on the China wall. Unscrew the sender or the tube adapter and screw the tester in there.

2 places to get oil pressure on a SBC. On the rear just left of the distributor on top of the block, and just above the oil filter.
