old cars

Dayum....too bad he had to take all them cars WITH him....that's rough....

no wonder the well water in Florida is stained with rust....:cry::(

Kevin, I dunno how that auction is set up,...but years ago some friends went outta business....and the auctioneer really screwed over a bunch of people, including them....he sold it all in LOTS, instead of by pieces.....

so Alan and Bob got about 30% or less of what they could have....

so some friend of the auction house maybe getting a steal by buying the entire LOT full of cars at one shot....

dunno, but maybe check into that...state laws MAY vary a whole lot on that shit....

:cry::chinese:

I am pretty sure the cars are sold as a whole and not in pieces.

KEV, you missed what I tried to say...they MAY sell everything automotive as a one LOT DEAL...maybe a row at a time, but I willing to BET not for one car at a time.....let alone parts....that auctioneer dont give a shit about cars one way or another let alone my friends shit....same deal....

just as a heads up....

I serious doubt they give a damn about titles either....

The yellow custom V8 MGA is certainly an 'interesting' looking car.....But I think I'd go for the Detroit Electric if I had a choice.

Want me to bid on it for you :D

You just love toys, don't you.....like that truck and the BB that we here so often about.

Damn...where's that foot taping smiley when you need it!

Yea,i like my toys, need something to keep me busy and off the streets. I have my eye on a Hudson truck, and the Willy's car.

Kevin, The one lunger hit and miss engines vary a great deal in value. Lotsa weight, but $100 @ is cheap. The Detroit will fetch $$$$$. The rest look like buckets of rust to me. Model T's in that shape, if complete, 2-$ 3,000 each.
I would really have to see this stuff up close to tell much more.

All of those 1 lungers are not seized up,and all those model t's or what ever they are that are in a row with the detroit electric, they were all in that garage you see in the back ground. there are a buch of cars that were kept inside but i could not get to everything or take pics of all of them,i would still be there. inside one of the buildings that was locked while i was there is a Lincoln Zephyr, and that baby is clean, don't ask what year i have no idea, but it is a rag top. I will get better pics with my camera tomorrow,i used my cell phone today.

What the hell is that? I do NOT believe that to be an MGA.

I had to study it for a while, but if you look at the profile, you can see an MGA with added on widened rear fenders (probably for a GM rear axle), fancy-ass flare front fenders, and a 20-pound bondo custom front grill. That is definately a MGA body & interior under it all....Musta kicked some ass (one way or another!!) when it a hot young thing......

Did you check the rear suspension? The car is a lot wider than MGA, so maybe it has Corvette frame under there?
