I'm guessing he was dicking around. I've owned nothing but RWD cars in my life, and you generally have to be screwing around to do that kind of damage.

Yesterday it was so slippery I even managed to spin the wheels of this super high HP Mustang 
I agree, "normal" driving does not do that kind of damage. Maybe playing with the traction control ... who knows....
