I'm going to remove the stock cast iron clunkers off the C6 tomorrow AM and I thought it's a good idea to start removing spark plugs and loosening the header bolts today....
header bolts all came loose, none broke, no threads stripped.... now the bad news: grabbed the spark plug wires and three of eight broke... ripped the plug connector right out the boot....great.... had the wire and boot in my hand and the metal connector still on the plug...... sweet.... $50 for a set of wires.... then pulled the plugs, they look ok but I dropped two of them.....arggghhh.... of course these are the fancy Iridium plugs at $8 a pop..... wonder if I should just replace all eight with NGK TR55 ....

Sounds about right. You sometimes get the feeling you're being videoed for Candid Camera or Funniest Home Video...

I agree, typical home mechanic scenario. A good friend of mine once taught me "Do the hardest stuff first" when asked why he replied "Because by the time you bust your knuckles a few times, if it gets any harder you will quit. This way it just gets easier".

Don't you hate the repeat trips to the parts store for all the little shit that happens along the way?
