Can anyone tell me the size of the negative battery cable to frame bolt? It sure looks like a 3/8 course, but mine is just a tad to small and wobbles in the hole. Also, when I try to tighten it up, it slips in the threads. Could the nut be metric?

Why worry about what's correct. 3/8 too small, tap and use a 7/16.

Doesn't that one have a nut instead of an insert?

The bolt screws into the frame. Apparently the frame hole threads are stripped. The frame is relatively soft steel. It's easy to drill a hole in it with a hand drill. So make the frame hole a little larger (1/16 larger) or maybe drill another hole in the frame.

In my 68, the engine ground cable, attaches to the frame at the motor mount bolt. (I think its the 68, maybe its the 70, anyhow the 68 and 70 have different grounding approaches.)

Kinda reminds me of a sign in a airport mens' room

If you experience low manifold pressure or are equipped with a short pitot tube, please taxi in close to parking.
