power steering pump pulley hitting crossmember

The pulley of my power steering pump seems to be hitting the crossmember (A-arm bracket). I was very carefull to align the pulley with the crank pulley, so this should be ok.

Any of you run into this ?

Use a shorter belt?

I have a similar issue with mine. Not hitting but damn close. There are marks on the crossmember were it has previously been rubbing. Have new engine mounts fitted but it is still very close.
Got a billet aloy pulley but it was even closer so I have the original back on. When I get the time I'm going to try to modify the mounting bracket to get some more clearence.
