Let me see,, I would guess,,,,,,, They drop out or start complaining when their cool suits fail....

I can remember being so hot I was going to pass out in the grid if we didnt start moving soon. Then I got a umbrella holder.. that helped some....the heat always got to me. 500 miles,, in the heat,, no way. That's when they were racers to the core...

The current formula is such a joke, there's nothing Stock about any of the cars.

That excellent footage could be a Vintage race today but my Gawd, what sleds! They were huge!

I have gotten out of the car after a half hour race, at Buttonwillow, and immediately laid down in the trailer. From the heat, the motorhome was too far to go...

I have had a first degree burn on my hip from the trans tunnel blowing engine bay air onto the alloy seat. Drove the last half of that race with my right butt cheek in the air.

And I'm an amateur! These guys? Wow!
