RF Safe-Stop shuts down car engines

Only a matter of time.

My first two immediate thoughts:

If it scrambles the electronics, will that cause permanent side effects to the electronic systems, in particular of nearby "innocent" vehicles?

What about your father's pacemaker, in the car next to the target vehicle?
 
It won't stop a carburated point ignition type engine......


and such a car will have a old automatic/hydraulic brain, or a stick shift??
 
meh - they've had these things for decades; and the run smack-dab into the lawyers who can't wait until they disable a car and it runs into a busload of kids - or even better, it disables a busload of kids and they run into criminals.

U mean there CAN BE AN INSTANCE when WE the PEOPLE can actually be protected by Dewey, Cheatem, and HOWE?????

Once upon a time I was driving this for a living. The FM Business radio would shut down a VW Rabbit in the early days of computer control. Running down the highway, get close to a Rabbit, key the mic, car would die. As soon as you let off the key, it'd go right back to running. Drove lots of people crazy with that one. :quote:


And BTW- that little sticker on the left front bumper reads "GENUINE PICKUP TRUCK"

I'm waiting for the Chinese to start making a unit that is placed in the rear of my car and when racing or being chased by the cops you hit a button and you win.:drink:
