This AM project....and ????
2002 Dodge RT 3.0 V6......cooling fans...made NO sense,

wound up CUTTING a control wire into the Solid State controller unit on back of main fan motor to get the stupid thing to turn on the fans.....start car and fans take off, fine, kill engine, key out for 3 seconds and fans turn off.....

I had to CUT this stupid wire to get them to run at ALL.....

CUT a wire to fix the car.....

WTF?? I have NO literature on this car at ALL,

so anyone with any knowledge as to WTF, or do I have to just walk away scratching my ass after 3 hours fighting that bitch???

the wire was grounding the fans out? that's about the only way it makes sense to me - do a continuity test on that wire

It is a solid state control box with a heat sink on it, the epoxy is about 3" square, and this control wire is very thin, it measured almost no voltage on it, so I assumed it would go HIGH to turn on the control box, or maybe variable speed, but cutting it turned on both fans to full bore.....he looking to ditch the car soon enough anyway, but he spent 130 bux on that main/large fan motor and controller unit figgering it was the problem...:shocking::bonkers:

0-1v modulating signal?

See if a water temp sensor has the same wire color code.

Ask Brian Baskin.LMAO
