My bumper to bumper warranty runs out in 2 weeks and i have a water leak in the back and the battery is shot.

I'm debating just fixing this myself. I've just had too many bad experiences and have heard of too many bad things.

The 2 times i took my GN in.
1. They sent me home without a speedo and the alternator didn't charge, left me stranded.
2. I suspected someone went joyriding when left overnight for work. It never ran as well. I think they changed the firmware chip.

My relatives car got sideswiped when sitting in dealership parking lot.

Tons of horror stories on the internet. Leaks never get fixed the first time or the thrid time car goes in.

It's a hard call to make. I too have had some really horrifying results from a local Ford dealer but found another that did good warranty work. If it were me I would make an appointment at the dealer, take it in and wait for the car to be done, or at least make them believe that you need the car back the same day. This way you get the work done for little or no cost. In two weeks you won't have to make this choice.

If you decide not to decide then in 2 weeks the decision is made for you...

I've had both good and bad experiences at my Ford dealer for warranty work.

I'm with DeeveeEight on this one.

I think you should, just so you can beat them up later. I suspect you could beat them into a new car, given enough time.
