OK all you So Cal guys, time to start thinking about a road trip after Christmas. End of Jan or Feb some time?
The desert is nice this time of year. How about the George Patton Museum?
I went by there after the Jashua tree run , but it was closed after 4:00.
Or, Angeles Crest Hwy from Wrightwood to LaCrasenta?
Or???
So, come on guys, start thinking, lets get together and have a good run, and then we can post pictures for all the people who are snowed in.

High run sounds good, to much wind in the desert. Count me in.

The snow helps muffle the sidepipe sound. Better off going through tunnels and canyons.

You guys want a mountain run in snow season? That right?:crap:

Actually, I'm still open to a desert trip.
Either way, the main thing is to get off our asses and drive!

Does this mean you repaired your starter?:D

I hope so.
Never did find anything wrong, but it seems to work fine after I reassembled it and put it back in.
Of course, like most any time I mess around with anything, the key buzzer switch in the steering column seems to be stuck in th on position. I almost removed it when I was messing around with the ignition switch, because I really don't need it, and it is just something else to go wrong on a 41 yr old car, but decided to keep the car as origional as possible.
Maybe it will fix itself if I ignore it for a few days. :suicide:

You guys out west have all the fun!!!! Desert, Vegas, Mountain run...do em all!

BTW, I disconnected that annoying buzzer at the horn relay on my 70. Not sure if it is the same for your car.

Thanks for the tip.

Vegas Baby!

Vegas sounds great!

Or, as an alternative to Angeles Crest, how about Mulholland to PCH on up to Santa Barbara?

Most of the guys want a 2 day trip. I just don't think it can be arranged that quickly, so, I'm out. I am pretty much booked up untill March/April anyways.
If you guys come up with a one day trip, I'll try to make it.:D

Motorgen is having a one day trip the 9th up PCH and across Ortega. We could join them for the day. We would be close to the start, with a long trip home, and the IE guys would have a long trip here, and be close to home at the finish.:D
