People with big $$ have ruined the hobby. They pay stupid money to get that "last piece of the puzzle" for bragging rights.
I sometimes think the Big 3 made styling go away just to sell cars. No one sees a future classic worth keeping anymore, so all modern old cars get crushed. Nothing worth saving.
A smart move might be to buy a garage full of Mazda Miatas. I can see them being collector cars in the future.
