Not sure but I think he was in the Delaware area. If I remember correctly he bought a restored 63 from a guy took it back to his place and made a pro street car out of it. That'll make the NCRS faint.

Rod is from Maryland. this definitely not his first build.

Wonder if he knows my old vette club guru, Tony's Corvette Shop, in G',burg Md.....not seen Tony in some 15 years, doubtful he would know me anymore....

:skeptic:

i couldn't say, Rod is from the other side of the beltway over more toward waldorf but north of there. I'm going back maybe early 80's since i was at his shop. i would bet your friend Tony would know who Rod is but Rod may not know who Tony is. just one of those things. the big corvette guy up until about 82 was Carlton Phillips he owned Pro auto repair in Fairfax. Carlton was a good friend of mine and ran a Pro- Stock Camaro ( as did i to a less successful degree) he sold out and started prince william marine. Carlton was the head corvette mechanic at rosenthall chevrolet and went out on his own to start
Pro Auto. Rod definitly Knows Carlton . so possibly he could know Tony.

Some years ago the head vette mechanic at Criswell Chev. joined Tony at the vette shop.....about the time I moved to Florida, and that name Prince William Marine sounds familiar for some reason....might have stopped by on various fishing trips/etc.....used to live on the Chesapeake Bay....fishing, sailing, going to work Monday AM, looking like a RED Vette.....:twitch:
