I think the swap meet gets smaller every year. I probably wouldn't have gone this year except that I was in Chicago on business anyway. I think the big event is the auction which I didn't stick around for. I do enjoy the Gold Mine area (cars for sale). Here's one you may be familiar with.speaking of Bloomington how was the swap meet? lots of vendors or lots of empty spots (or vendors cars parked in vending spaces making it look full)??
He said he buys them brand new for $25,000. Add another $5,000 for peripherals to make it run.billet dog bones, billet batwing...pretty!!! That there little engine...wouldn't mind having one either. There was one for sale here from the spyker plant, it was sold before I knew it...figures.

I asked why the billet batwing. He said the high horsepower motors were tearing up the stockers. I imagine the same holds true for the dog bones.billet dog bones, billet batwing...pretty!!! I understand the point of the custom (and probably expensive) batwing (I had to modify mine), but what am I missing with (the trouble and expense of) the billet trailing links? Is there a reason other than bling?
Sorry, no.Did you see a phone number on that B/S racer?

I used to look forward to the Bloomington swap meet every year, and went for the better part of twenty years, but finally said to hell with them when the cost of gas (from Indiana) and entry fee was more than I could recover by getting some some decent deals on stuff. Of course, when the swap area is half the size it used to be, it's darn hard to find a lot of deals. One of my favorite (used parts) vendors told me the cost of space there kept going up and it just wasn't worth his time and effort to keep going back.
I thought you might want to see what Street Shop brought to Bloomington Gold this year.

What I find remarkable is that, aside from the engine, these really look very much like our frames and drivetrains. More of an evolution than revolution.
Again, the engine aside but even that doesn't look radically different. TT is right too. It really does look small.
