I have a small contracting business and about once a week I get a call from some outfit called tradeworkers online. The caller states that they have overbooked work in my area and need someone to handle the over flow. I did a little online snooping and have found that tradeworkers online is a scam outfit. Apparently they ask the contractor for a $99.00 fee for a background check before they can give them any work. Once the contractor pays the fee he is done for. He never gets any "real" work offers and is out his $99.00.
It is a sad statement for the human race when low lifes like these prey on hard working honest people who are desperate for work.
I never take these offers, I see them for what they are. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are easily taken by this crap.
