Anybody have a column from a late c3 apart right now? I have a problem with my '81 that the signals aren't working. I pulled the column apart and it looks like I'm missing a piece. There is nothing on the lever that engages the turn signal switch. It looks like there is a piece that somehow bolts/screws into the switch and then rides into a channel on the lever. I'm missing that piece. Anybody have a picture of how the column is put together?

Yes, I am. That's pretty much what I thought it was. I got a new switch from CC but that part is not included and so far they have been unresponsive to my e-mail questions. Kind of disappointing since I like them as a vender.

Ive seen the part at autozone in help section. GM have always had this this one looks just like my 82 vettes at any rate.

funny you should mention that....sometimes i have to hold my turn signal down to keep it flashing ....i wonder if the screw has loosened on mine

yours is a worn out cam assembly, basically the black part moves and locks and that is what is worn out on yours. You can buy them cheap at autozone.

This is what your 1980 - 82 T&T head looks like with the steering wheel and locking plate removed. There should be a crossover arm that reaches from the dimmer pivot (where the turn signal lever arm attaches) and screws to the switch itself.

One thing that you didn't point out, did your turn signal lever ever work since you owned the car? Or did you inherit the problem when you purchased the car? If the arm is actually missing; either Bubba removed it before you owned the car, or the crossover arm came loose and is now laying inside your steering column.
