Valve seal replacement

I don't really have a good answer for you, but consider this. Valve seals are a necessary EVIL. While it is desirable to keep excess oil out, no oil causes excessive valve stem/guide wear. A catch 22 you might say. Part of the reason I only suggest teflon seals for racing only. The can cause premature wear in a street engine. I know, I tried it back in 80.

I agree I fucked up my twisted wedge heads in no time with teflon linered viton seals...never again.

Just to update, I thought my oil consumption was from valve seals but it looks like it might just be unsealed rocker studs. The AFR seals are positive seals and should be working fine unless they were damaged during installation which could still be a possibility.

Going to reseal the studs then see what happens.

Actually cant use the umbrella style with these springs since the seals are too big.
