Have a question about weatherstriping : when I started my project, one of the first things i had put in my order was a set of replacement weatherstriping. They are the rubber type and came from Corvette America. Now I see that Zip sells a OEM type weatherstriping, but at a far higher price. Are they that much better or would the kit I have here suffice ?

Where ever you buy your weather stripping make sure it is made by Corvette Rubber (logo on WS is CRC). Willcox had the best price when I bought mine. They also have a VERY helpful DIY tips section.

Stick with what you have IMO Zip is hit/miss with pricing.....they are the ones that hit Doc Rebuild really hard ripped off his catalog as I remember...

I got my weatherstripping from Wilcox, don't remember how much it was but at the time it was a good deal...I'm happy with fit and quality, seems to be good stuff. I bought this back in 2006, at the time I was searching on Ebay and that's where I found it....

I don't know ZIP's source but you can't beat CRC from Willcox. Exact fit and soft/pliant texture. Nice product.
