I'm getting screwed.

I took on a kitchen remodeling job and my cabinet supplier is screwing me but good. First he delivers a pantry cabinet 3" too wide, it is 18" wide and I need a 15" wide cabinet so back it goes to his shop. Second, he promises us a laminate counter top by last Wednesday and doesn't deliver it until Noon on Friday. Third, the laminate counter top must be made of platinum, a 12' x 2' "L" shape plus another small 2' section, with a beveled edge cost me $900.00. I was in sticker shock for the rest of the day. Now here it is the next week and the job is complete except for the pantry cabinet. The cabinet supplier is telling me that he is going to cut the 18" cabinet down to 15" but that he can't find doors for a 15" cabinet and the next boat from Japan (!!???!!!?) isn't coming until JUNE.... And I am thinking WTF? I don't even want a friggin cabinet that you are going to CUT to make it fit... You are holding up the completion of this job and I CAN"T GET FINAL PAYMENT because of this crap.
Pretty soon my customer's patience is going to wear thin. She has been really sweet, we have done an excellent job for her but this cabinet thing is frustrating the hell out of me and making me look bad.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

:shocking: INteresting in that I never knew you to be in the remodeling business, let alone kitchens.....I used to do a LOT of that, specializing in kitchens and baths....much less roofs through basements/whole houses....

and my suppliers never gave me much crap on that, the cabinet shops made their own shit or got it right by MY measures...that was years ago up in Maryland....

down here in Florida, it was nothing but a cluster fuck from word go....

I would take measure, the cabinet supply company insists on coming to MY customer's house and doing their own measure, and so of course it's totally fuc ked UP, beyond reprieve......to compare your minor 3" difference on one cabinet....try

oh hell you wooden believe it anyway....off by several feet, top, bottom, end run, and to boot the end cab to a doorway was SO warped the bottom shelf would not set in the box.....Swear to God.....out by over 3/4 inch....

gimme a break lord.....the thing IS, AFAIK, them bastards still in business.....

Glad I"m an old fart, retarred, don't have to DEAL with the modern totally INCOMPETENT ASSHOLES today.....

much less the smug attitudes and overpaid egos.....Arky teched designed kitchens are the WORST, and then we get a CKD to measure for a remodel??? REALLY???
