Window fit and body flex

My windows fit poorly. What is worse is that they make a terrible cracking/screeching noise when rolled up tight and the car is underway. I can only assume that the body flexes a bit, the stiff suspension and Bilstein shocks do not soften the NJ potholes at all either. Has anyone found the source and a cure for the cracking noise? I have replaced the window regulator and anti rattle pads with new ones.

TIAFYR

Just don't let happen to you, what happened to me...on that windshield weather strip, some jackasses had too large a bolt head on un needed screws into the metal, through the weatherstriping....and it nicked at the upper top corner of my side glass, mostly on the driver's side....no excuse for it...but by time I found it the glass was chipped.....

my new convertible top is a PIA...and the weatherstriping and me need a good solid argument....

damn junk....it and the top are new too....

:suicide:

Time for new weather stripping maybe? Mine made a horrible scratching type noise going up or down with the doors shut and to a certain degree, while driving. I've since pulled all the weather strips off and the rubber was like petrified wood!

Just a thought...

Good suggestion, especially as I have new ones still in the box. I found some of the door/window seals on ebay that go along the top of the door panel. I was leaning towards glass on metal contact but you may well have hit it spot on.
Thanks!
