Wisconsin Farmer Rescues Bear

Great posting.

How much do you think that farmer's vehicle cost? It used to be maybe 100 years ago that farmers were in the peasant category. Today, a lot of farmers in the US are multi-millionaires. North and South Dakota, even before the oil fracken bonanza, had some of the highest per capita millionaire population in all of the United States....before oil they were farmers.

I've seen prices on these large farm machines..I just forget..I think they can go from $100,000 to $250,000. For a lot of these hay seed farmers, buying a $250,000 Farerri wouldn't be a big deal.

When I lived in Md. just outside DC, we used to run up to the Carlisle Pa. car shows, which are well known, but also to the Train Collectors Assn. show in York Pa......which in those travels for years I got exposed to the antique FARM GEAR shows.....some of that gear just wacky as hell, like those engines that go POP then turn over with the huge flyweight about 5-6 times, and then POP again....HUGE steam powered tractors with what looked like diamond plate steel instead of tires, Something about that whole NE region, get out in the small towns/farms and you can find damn near anything, I watch that Antique Picker show sometimes on one of the cable channels....:bonkers::p
