maybe this should go in the "joke of the day" thread instead.... got this email from one of the FL Chevy dealers:

Hi, Just a quick note to let you know we have a rare, ZR1 new Corvette in stock right now. If you or someone you know may be interested, please let me know ASAP. Don't forget I will pay you $300.00 if you refer someone who buys this vehicle from me. This is a jetstream blue metallic with the 3ZR (loaded) package. The price is $135,865.

:lol::lol::lol:

Cheap cheap cheap! One was sold in a bankruptcy auction here for more than that and then you have to add auction fees, taxes, that additional vehicle tax we have of 43.7% or thereabouts of catalog value..blablabla.... a new one is almost 300.000$ here now w/ the current exchange rate (200.000 Euros)

Wow, how does he manage to afford that generous finder's fee????? :amused:

That price is insane....I've seen nice ZR1 examples for sale on CF and fleabay in the $20K area. A buddy, ZR1 John just had his motor rebuilt by a well know ZR1 engine builder in NC, I believe. It cost around $13K, if my memory serves me. He blew the original drag racing at Orlando Speedworld. His car has the coolest and subtle mods the factory should have made and in spectacular condition. I'm sure he would part with it for well under $100K and give you
$3K for finding a buyer. Your local Chevy dealer is a real sport!
