Installing Mag daddy door "clips". This is going to work out well since I have to take the panels on and off multiple times. I cut a rectangular pocket first, and glued a thin ABS sheet with a hole in it:

Then I covered the back with a fiber sheet that loosely captured the magnet. Fom pad on the back to push the magnet out.

I am going to have two hidden screws at the front and back plus the magnets. The magnets hold really well, you have to pry them up to release. Also, I reused the top part of the C3 panel that has a metal channel that hooks onto the top of the door.thats really clever, will there be any mechanical attachments or just the magnets?
Glad it worked for you!!!
The other thing I would do- is coat the wood with some fiberglass resin. Just brush it on.
It'll waterproof the wood and strengthen it up a bit.
A good motorcycle shop that knows anything about custom cables can get them for you. Motion Pro is one of the better brands. This is a small selection from the Western Powersports catalog. They are one of the bigger distributors of Motorcycle parts.Does anyone make a cable barrel that uses a set screw to crimp on (like this throttle cable)? I think I have seen them with a set screw in the end. I need to change the length.

Thanks. I ended up buying NAPA's version of those. They are the only ones I could find with a 1/16' hole (cable is 1/16").yes they are used in british sports cars all the time let me find a link
dorman part number 03336
the british cars use them for all sorts of applications and you can find them with different bracketry on them one even is even like a barrel bolt to go on a 1/8" round shaft with the cable coming out the other end. and used for all the controls on the heater. defrotster heater box, choke, accelerator cable etc. all 1/16"Thanks. you can find the pictures of them for sure (MOSS catalog), they do a pretty good job of showing the illustrations. i dont know if they stock them or not. certainly pictures of the, choke cable, accelerator cables carb linkages, pull starter, heater controls and heater boxes will show the bracketry. any late 50s or 60s british cars have them, the MGA is on the lift i bring it down this weekend and I will take pictures of all the termination points, on my car, if nothing else it will get the creative juices flowing.Brackets would be nice. Is that something you can find at Moss?
