On the news this morning. The FBI and local Police Departments will be employing Drone aircraft in US commercial airspace starting NOW. They expect to have as many as 20,000 of them in service by 2020. In some cases they are talking about arming them with non-lethal weapons. You will no longer have a sense of privacy around your home, at work or while out side. Big Brother will be watching all of us! You will only be able to stay safe if you stay indoors...:twitch:

What would you do if an armed (or unarmed) Drone aircraft suddenly appeared in YOUR back yard or outside your window? How would you feel?

Umm that presents a whole new logistics problem for our law enforcement. We used to have this saying in the aerospace industry. There are two types of UAV's, ones that have crashed and ones that will. :smash: Haha

Most of you will WTF big time on this, but I've been listening to this for 20 years.
Guess why I'm not surprised a single bit.
Documenting the downfall...

Lyrics:

1-1-2029, the stars are shining bright

Nerves connected to the center, we are tied to the machine

Invisible and silent, circling overland
The planemakers designed us to outturn and outmaneuver
Intruders in the skies, intruders in our skies

1-1-2029, tonight the stars are shining bright

Backbone of the fighter force, of the defence industry,

Devoted tools of the power, warrants of the order

1-1-2029 tonight the stars are shining bright

Silicon advisers leading the way

We reach our cruising altitude
1-1-2029, West Europe, midnight
Invisible and silent, circling overland
Scanning, taping, filing, instantly checking
Every human, car and plane of the quarters we survey

CIRCLING OVERLAND

CIRCLING OVERLAND

I would shoot it down and I would feel like a patriot.

I think it blows. We already have two choppers for the Anaheim police, and they just bought a plane.
They probably only REALLY need the dam things twice or three times a year, but the dam things fly all over the city 24/7.
All we need is a bunch of little UAV's running amock. If so, frankly, I'll devote the rest of my life to shooting them down.:smash::smash::smash:

Bird, good chance you won't be able to see them or know they are there, let alone being that good of a shot. :hunter:

Maybe a Buck Rogers High Energy Microwave gun.

The law abiding citizen probably doesn't have anything to hide.

Not picking on you, but this attitude is what gets us going down this slippery slope with the government invading our privacy and trampling on our rights.

The police have been flying planes and choppers over everything for years. Not that I'm particularly fond of that, either, but this is just an extension of what's been going on for a long time.

Maybe a Buck Rogers High Energy Microwave gun.

If you come up with one, let me know. One fantasy I have is to pull up behind a 1000000 Watt stereo blasting away at a stop light, hit a button, and watch his amp explode.:shocking:

It really wasn't "my attitude" that prompted that particular statement, it was just a comment trying to point out that there is a lot of criminal shit going on out there, and with technology evolving as rapidly as it does, there is no stopping it (UAV's). People get all up tight when they hear the term profiling, but it is a fact of life. We all do it whether we want to admit it or not. The trick will be how we, the people, control the use of the technology. The real smart crooks will always find a countermeasure, so hold on for the ride. The stuff we have seen in just our lifetime is nothing short of amazing.

Are we talking about these little shit model planes with a camera. Hell, I'm thinking about getting one of those to spy on my neighbors.

I'm with you there, Bird. I just wish I had time and money to build one. :D I'd probably sterilize my self trying. :shocking:

I saw another article about the drones- they're talking about arming them with tear gas and rubber bullets too.
So much for setting in your hot tub nekkid. Get arrested for indecent exposure.
