A-arm washers pulling through - WTF ???

Over at CF, I said the same thing, El Cheapo part....wow shouldn't have done that. Now I'm the bad guy all of a sudden. I'm done there.

As long as you pay CF their vendor fees you can sell all kind of cheap crap and nobody can touch you ... Their vendor protection program is second to none LOL

Everytime vendors try to sell those hyperco rear monospring I shake my head in disbelief waiting for yet the "I've put 8" bolt and my car still look like a dune buggy" thread.

There was this guy selling those "remove before flight" red tag, advertised as "hard to find".
Once I pointed out those were not rare, in fact all over Ebay at the fraction on the price everyone was on me, even regular user were complaining, I was driving vendors off and causing forum's downfall into poverty.
What a bunch of sheeps :hunter:

To punch out the center of that washer is not right. I don't care what you torque it to. That is just cheap shit. I really wonder who is making this junk.

Paragon and Doc are my choice for stuff like that.

There are a LOT of reasons I"m a junkyard hotrodder, and not all that particular that every little bolt and washer needs be purrfect, just decently clean looking......but then again, I drive my vette....others park theirs,

car is 40 y/o, I have owned it nearly 1/2 it's life......:bounce:

The best forums I'm on have no sponsors and are kept alive by enthousiasts or they have a strict rule not the interfere in discussion unless it's getting really abusive or someone's advertising in the thread.

I didn't post the thread specifically for bashing anyone. It was meant to warn other people. I do not want anyone to get hurt because of an el cheapo part like a washer.

the 1st time I got in trouble there, I had the audacity to point someone to another forum where my car's pictures were posted (a non-corvette, mind you)...

Got this in my mail from them at CF :

Who's attacking who ?? Go **** yourself A$$hole.

Above I see mainly you guys attacking me, while the proof is there in the pictures. BUT of course, this is one of your supporting vendors...Go and keep on selling these...

I'm done here, there are other forums without the vending maffia.

a guy wrecks his car, that he likes a lot, and you tell him to burn it down. Please, sell whatever Corvette memorabilia you have, go buy a Camry and go bugger off.... seriously

back story Pewter99 (a mod) told a 24 year old, unemployed kid who just wrecked his Corvette to burn his car because he wasn't reporting the accident (single car) to his insurance company.

I told Pewter to buy a camry.... it did get a lot worse from there... let's see if I can find his compilation :D

ah here it is

We have had very few claims over the years and the insurance company has not lost any money on us. But when you have a collision/accident and need it, use it. That's what it's for.

Anyone want to guess the odds that if he did report the claim that he'd go from "insured" to "uninsured" in less time than it took for me to type this?

And really, the guy has a bad enough life without some wanker on the 'net telling him to burn his car....

Really, I'm impressed at your ability to stick both feet in your mouth while your head is firmly implanted in your tail.... maybe you could join the circus or something with that ability.

you really need to either get a grip on your hostility or learn to recognize sarcasm......

as the other member stated...my point was why have insurance if you aren't going to use....or is that to wankerish for you? and apparently you know absolutely nothing about insurance...they don't drop people fro reporting claims unless they have multiple claims....sounds like the OP is afraid to use his insurance so maybe they will drop him..I don't know..neither do you...but if they fix his car then drop him its still better than not using it and not having a car....or am I being a wanker again?

and I don't ban people because they attack me..I ban people for rules violations

On a side note : Zip sent me a mail saying they would want to repay the hardware on these bushings.

Not that I care about the money of this hardware and besides I already installed the originals.

I answered them I would rather like them to repay me for postage so I could sent them the washers so the could investigate what was going on with these. No reply yet.

They accepted. I'll go to the postoffice tomorrow and sent them over.

Here's an interesting factoid for my college years. They (testing psychologist) crunched the numbers for the average IQ of people in various professions. As everyone knows, 100 is the forced "average" of all people - meaning that number is "normal" in society. Anyone want to guess where cops landed?

There's a Supreme Court opinion which says that rules must be written so that enforcement officers can understand them (thus, Miranda).

Any guesses?

96 - that means that 70% of society is smarter than the average cop.:ill:

As for Pewter - I still wonder why he has Yoda sitting on the hood of his car.

Everyone makes mistakes, the good companies (and people) try to fix them when they find out about them. Hope this is a sign of good customer service.
