Am I the only one...

100 miles is more than enough to be off by...you ever read the book Alive, the pilots were only off by 30 or so miles, look how that ended....Thank god there are no mountains here in MN...

I heard they were both on there laptops going at it on the CF, I believe they are Moderators over there and were perm banning some trouble maker in the C3 general section.........:shocking:

Oh Christ Dean, That's funny as hell. "Calling Captain Pewter..............":crap:

Ok, something is definitely not adding up. Being out of contact for 91 minutes sounds like the duration of most flights to MSP. I haven't heard where they originated. If it was any place north of Tennessee and west of Vermont, that's damn near the entire time at altitude.

I think I found the solution. Remember, it is the video game age and 1st person shooters require a lot of concentration...

Good one Bird! Especailly like the condominiums hanging up to dry.

"dust== that flight originalted in San Diego.

Ah, Sandy Eggo, huh? Well, still what's the flight time on that route? Even so, I still contend that overflying by 100 miles is still just about 10 or 12 minutes. Not that it makes it that much better, but I'm still not seeing why these guys have to lose their livelihood. I think suspension and dock of pay is probably closer to being in order.

[BREAKING] Fox news is reports the pilots were out of contact for ~3 hours. Just as Fox says, this makes more than just the pilots look bad. I think this bolsters at least part of my argument, that this severe a punishment of the pilots is intended to deflect the guilt from those on the ground.

I'm sorry, but these guys make BIG BUCKS to follow the rules. I wouldn't even mind ONE guy doing their thing while the other flies/watches, but BOTH at the SAME TIME? Fuck em. They spaced out/fucking around for 3 hours. TOO much complacency with lives at risk. They gotta go.
They are just as guilty as a Metrolink Engineer texting while operating a train that killed many people here. It's bullshit.

I'm with Bird on this one.
What would your reaction be if they had crashed into another plane that was minding its own business in its assigned air corridor?
It's one thing to say oops when only you are at risk, but its another when its your JOB to safely transport hundreds of people.

Hey, it seems like the info changes daily. I'm feeling less and less sympathetic to their plight, but there's plenty more people that need to get their walking papers.
