I original had it on jack stands but was impressed with how the heavy plastic worked on other cars here. I am still hoping that neither was needed.

Well, let's hope practical experience pays off the best. You have my best wishes Dean. Jeff

if you get a chance post a few pix....if not, that's ok, we understand....

Good Luck. I was thinking of you even before your post. Hope the bag works. 1 meter of water won't do the MB anygood, either. My son-in-law has his car parked on one of the elevated freeways. Guess if you did that, your car might not be there when you come to get it.

You might have a condensation issue inside the bag. Even if you do, a few days shouldn't be a problem. Putting some bags of dessicant in there would be a good idea, but I'm sure it's too late.

I keep my 68 under a car cover which is in turn under a tent like canopy. I put a small wattage light bulb in there to keep the air dry during the winter.

I noticed that just about everyone in Thailand has a car port, enclosed garages aren't that common as far as I know. I read the houses are built like that because most Thai buyers want to show off their cars. I think I read that in the Bangkok. Don't know if that was an accurate story.

The car ports are mostly to keep the car out of the sun and heavy rain, To keep them in a enclosed garage it would be very hot and humid, that would cause several mil due problems. As for showing off, that would be difficult as most have real high walls around there houses for security.

Still dry so far.....

Maybe some oil drums and build yourself a raft you can put your car on.

It appears the owner of the Porsche succeeded with his plan. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Best of luck.

Checked on the work area that is near a major canal that runs threw the city and it is still OK.

I heard on NPR last night that Bangkok is sinking at the rate of 4" per year. At only 1 or 2 meters above sea level that doesn't bode well for the future.....

Good luck.
