I will start this little story out monday memorial day. I was very sick and luckily had the day off. Tuesday came and not feeling much better but when I got to work told them only felt good enough to do 2 loads (I am a truck driver) then call in sick wednesday, thursday I went in again and because I was accumulating points fast from calling in sick. thursday again couldn't do much and took friday off too.

My symptoms were more like flu and pnuemonia. sometimes hard too breath, lack a energy after doing real light things, hard to breath at times.

saturday I had a heart attack

I now have a pacemaker and had other work done such as removing blood clots and unplugging clogged aortas I think is what they called them.

my moral here is fuck work, what good is it if you die anyways. If you have kids or family whats the harm calling and saying I love you every day. I almost left my son 11y/o fatherless.

I'm at home now but will be a long road to complete recovery.

Man, glad you didn't take any chances and got it handled.
The MIL died just about a year ago under kind of similar circumstances. Didn't feel well and wouldn't go to the doctor, thought it was just something minor. Week later, died on the bedroom floor with her husband giving her CPR until paramedics arrived. Just too late. She had several minor heart attacks that week leading up to "the big one" but she didn't want to complain or be a bother. Now she's dead. Fucking funerals are a bother. Don't take chances with your family.
Get better.

Wow, you dodged a bullet.

Did you have any of the warning signs like pain in the left shoulder/arm or chest pain?

No, only pains I had were abdominal. I am not overweight pretty active from day to day, jog with my golden retriever every now and then. But maybe that is why I made it. Will be doin a lot of different things with my life now especially my diet.

speedy recovery Jeff !!!

scary that it seemed to be going on for a few days without the typical warning signs

symptoms I had

hot/cold flashes
abdominal pains
tired a lot
hard time breathing even after just a few steps

Like I said not your typical heart attack issues, I was concerned but felt it probably just flu/pneumonia related

Jeez, Jeff---Glad you're OK. It does make one re-examine priorities, huh?

A few months ago my step-son had a 'chest cold' for weeks on end, it just wouldn't go away. Finally he went to a doctor, thinking maybe it was pnuemonia. They took an x-ray and found a tumor the size of a small football in his chest. They figured he was within a week of dying.

130'ish over 80'ish

I was really scared you going to say that, that's what mine is....

and I get chills/hot overnight but usually note the room is stuffy, and its FLORIDA with that heat and humidity...we only keep the house at 78 in day, but night '77-76 is better if we remember....

abdominal pains, not so much, just a minor hernia in the belly button...
Tired a lot, yes and no, more like my lo back/skeleton in general is terminally fucked.....but yes this AM in cloudy overcast, I moved some landscaping bricks around, maybe 1/2 a wheelbarrow full, and it about sent me into the house but good, heat and humidity....I did feel some chest pains then....

hard time breathing, no, never an issue....so I write my shituation off as just old age....68, screw it....

:surrender:

I'm only 44 though, my hot/cold were sweating beyond belief when a/c was set at 80. The cold chill and the worse that I recall was more like a convulsion I was so cold and temp was about 78. Today I have been up and about but severe shoulder pain from the pacemaker has kept me down a bit as well as my right leg in pain. Basically they ran a tube or something in my groin to my heart

Dude, that a fucking sad news, I'm like this others happy you stayed on the right and didn't take too much damage.
Get well soon, Off-Topic pissing contests wouldn't be the same without you :rose:
