I thought I explained it in post#12
In the simplest terms the oring acts as a seal and a spring.
Works exactly the same as the latest "no drag" systems from all new car manufacturers.

Thanks I did read your post #12, But in my searching I found a couple of different types of o-ring conversions for our calipers. One is the ones I have ordered with springs and one O-RING W/INSULATOR end to stabilize the piston and does not have a spring.

I have to import all my parts and I don't want to install the parts I have ordered and find out that by not using the spring supplied and recommended with the parts ordered, then have the car un-drive-able till I get replacement parts, that can take a month or more.

The piston fits tighter with the O-rings so that the small spring won't move the piston anyways... You'll see when you push the new pistons with the Orings in the bore.
