I would have to go with the camaro. I think the challenger looks better but its a Chrysler and imo they are pos

Many a very olde tyme friend who would totally disown me If I agreed with you...but you are right....electronics wise...

but the old horse carb's 318's would run forever, like a Torqueflight....

I agree with both of you. I like the looks of the Challenger but am not fond of the quality. Every Chrysler product I have driven since the 80's has been a POS. The Camaro needs to be a bit more retro looking IMO. The Chevy products have traditionally commanded the aftermarket manufacturers so I tend to lean in that direction for ease of finding parts and go fast technology.

As a kid I owned nothing but Dodges and Plymouths, Cudas', Road Runners, Satellites, Super Bee's and the like. The 318 was my favorite motor too, not the fastest but the one I liked best.

Now correct me if I'm wrong. I was told by more than one source the Marauder had a 117 mph limiter.
If you get one, I have the DVD that FORD put out for a sales promotion. Great stuff on past old Marauders vs New Marauder.
I'm not married to it...........:quote:

Hey Brutal, I got a Marauder about 9 mths ago. I love it. It's a heavier car so it's not a tire burner and I don't know about the 117mph thing but I do know that it will get there in a hell of a hurry.
I'm sure that DVD is an interesting watch......... that vintage stuff is great

Maybe I'll try and find that DVD. You know anyone that would want it???:bounce:

I have always been a Chevy guy but on this one Ford has it wrapped up!

I think the Camaro is the worst looking of the three and couple years to late. The problem with GM they just don't have a clue. It is a heavy pig, that is over optioned, and over priced. Plus what's with the independent rear suspension? Are they confused that this is suppose to be a modern day muscle car not a sports car like the Vette? If they would of cut the bullshit out they could of saved a ton in weight and sticker price. Camaro with just be another GTO or SSR, they will drop it again in a couple years because its over priced and doesn't sell. At least Ford hasn't completely forgot about who buys the car.

Let me know what you need for it and I'll try and find someone ....;)
Might be difficult tho, there's only 470 Marauders in Canada even tho the "Panther" platforms [all Crown Vics and Grand Marquis] are all built in Canada, engine plant and all. They're sure phasing them out tho. Old mans cars [not really]. The Impalla's gone. Everyones driving little shit boxes now. But I notice that subaru or or some f'n thing has introduced a V8/rearwheel drive sedan now. I really hope I don't get reduced to that in the future. A subaru. Jeez.

I know we all love our Corvettes but they lack a back seat which makes it hard to get the kids and/or the groceries.
I was looking at the Camaro's and find the price spread and options rather appealing. I checked out the Challenger and thought that 60K was too much for the HP package.
Fords - well I buy Ford trucks but I never was into 'em much.
Another deciding factor for me - I prefer a convertible.
Your thoughts?

Based on your criteria I would probably wait until the 2011 model year and pick up a Vert. Ford Mustang GT with the new 5.0 DOHC 400hp V8 with the track pack :smash:

The Camaro SS Vert is coming out also as a 2011 MY vehicle I believe, but if the coupe weighs 3900lbs I guarantee the vert. comes in at over 4100lbs.

As for the Challenger it's not coming out as a vert. and because it's so heavy isn't quick enough for the money. I do love the body design though - it's great looking.

What I need is a truck.:noworry: But, what I'll take is nothing. I'll look for it this weekend. If you find someone that wants it, PM the address to me.

This is ONLY if he plans to keep the Marauder for a few hundred years.

Guess what I found??

Cops had an unmarked Challenger pulling someone over on I95 today.
Don't know if it was State Trooper, Sherriff or a city cop.
Black Challenger with blacked out windows and blue lites inside the rear window and behind front grill.

I voted Mustang, but I'm slightly biased :). But I just couldn't leave well enough alone, so it ended getting lowered about 1" with some suspension upgrades. Engine's got a new tune too, which really wakes these cars up.
