Popp wins Goodguys 2013 Autocross Shootout
Sorry it took so long to answer. I did not get a look at much of the front suspension at Optima, but I just got back from the Scottsdale 2013 Goodguy's Autocross Shootout, and I got a better look. By the way, Danny Popp won in his 72 and Brian was second in the final round against Popp. They beat the standard cast -- the Detroit Speed cars, lots of LS-powered 1st gen Camaros, Mike Maier's Mustang, and the real 66 Cobra that won Optima 3 or 4 years ago. Brian's car has a rear-steer box in the stock location with the standard drag link, but the pitman arm and idler arm "may" have been tweaked. It has stamped control arms (pick-up points "adjusted"?) and a simple spreader bar. The rear has a steel spring, and all four shocks have the lower pick-up points lowered to accommodate longer shocks. The current trend is toward equal size tires, front and rear, mostly 315s on 18 inch wheels. Falklin appeared to be the tire of choice because of the mandatory 200 tire wear rating. It was a good show!

Hey Pappy, do you know what steering setup Brian is using?
