Dodge radiator fan blades - holy crap

I have never seen fan blades break for no apparent reason ... Must a new low for Dodge's quality standards ...
I had to replace the radiator and the entire fan assembly on a friend's Charger because the fan blades penetrated the radiator and ripped the shroud apart ...
After this happened I read online that this is a common issue with Chargers.
The aftermarket fans seem to be of much better quality. So if you have a Charger you may want to replace the fans before they explode ...

Electric fans or belt driven??......years/decades ago they had a thing called a flex fan, stainless blades that went flat at speed and sure enough the flex metal would snap at the steel support.....
