The general consensus seemed to be that for low rpm use (<5000 rpm) you're probably OK.
In the racing crowd everybody seems to avoid them because they were breaking the snouts off cranks.
FWIW I have been searching the net, not a lot of actual proof to be found, but 1 guy over at speedtalk posted a picture.
Even Fluidampr came in to discuss. That guy said they balance everything seperatly and then add the fluid. This could cause another imbalance, but i'm no specialist.
Mine will, only occasionally, see 6k and so far no problems. But my machine shop did have difficulty balancing my assembly. Thing is, I don't remember if it was on the snout or what. I thought it was on the flywheel end, but that's been five years since I put this motor together.
