Honestly, I am surprised that these old Qj's are SO fucked up, the way he describes....figger every 5 years for a kit install, and to hear his stories, but then again, who else would see all the totally botched ones, BUT him or someone in same catagory, I suppose.....:crutches:

There is NO doubt in my mind he understands those units more than anyone else on earth.
Sadly, time has taken their toll on them, and someday we will live to see $5,000 prices for pristine units from collectors.

I suppose it's sensitive, but I'd be interested in knowing why CF is such a target to hackers. I've participated in the CF forum quite a bit and I notice that every now and then a post gets closed by an administrator. From what I can tell, most of the posts are not really that controversial (of course some are). Also,I do realize that people get banned from the site, but I don't know why.

Incidentally, I have posted some negative comments about some of their forum vendors and they have not banned me. ...Although my negative comments were years ago.

The CF Mods are extremely heavy handed and unfair. They have pissed off countless good contributing members and banned them from the forum while defending other useless POS like Durango. Some of these banned members have taken offense to the treatment and have found a way to retaliate. I only wish I was one of them.:devil:

CF is getting what they deserve, I hope that it gets worse for them!:yahoo:

You know, THAT is a interesting point, as back when I was doing the FI installs, 88-94? or so, I had a old friend ask for my Qjet collection, must have had maybe a dozen of them hanging around...I let him have all but a very few, one of which after 20 years on the shop walls, is now on the Clamper project....somehow I KNEW to keep ONE good clean QJ out of the bunch....
