The filters are the same size as the fuel line so hard to see. The line slides over one end of them. Thought about going with open element filters but would have to rejet.
Sorted the suspension and hayabusa calipers on the front
The 900 is a great motor and the sprint makes a nice sport tourer.
I love(d) the bike. It's comfortable, handles nice, and has decent power. But this particular issue (a chunk of my life being wasted trying to repair the fuel system) is really souring me. [For the benefit of the rest of the guys, here's a picture of the stupid ass airbox design (Note that it wraps around the frame backbone and ain't going in without removing the carbs)].
I rolled the bike out of the basement and hooked up a battery and a spare lawnmower fuel tank (hanging on the deck post) to it.
A shot of ether to help it out, and damn if it didn't start! The engine ran for about five minutes at high idle and then died. And wouldn't start up again. So, I don't know if the carbs are gummed up (the fuel was fresh and I had an inline filter hooked up) or it fouled the plugs, or what the deal is. I think I'll just let the stock tank soak for a week and take a break from the bike. Got a couple things to do on the '69 anyway.
