Is this true about Germany

I think that the Germans indeed buy predominantly German. Things are changing here as well. Lots of people getting fed up with the poor Chinese, Indian.... quality.

Tell me about it, BUT, you know, I have a Snap On 1/4" drive air ratchet, and did something stupid and broke the square drive off the end of the drive, and so went to Harbor Freight and bought a 15 buck air ratchet, it failed, and the Snap part was LISTED as NLA by Snap on the phone, and even IF it was available, it was 35 bux for just the part....

SO I took both ratchets apart, and sure enough the needed part that drives the sockets with the 1/4 inch square on the end, FITS FINE and works well in the ratchet for some months now, and yes I have used the hell out of it.....

so for a local 15 bux I have fixed my Snap On ratchet, and next time need to know to not lean into it trying to break loose some alternator bolt that was OVER torqued from whenever......

:shocking::bomb::crap:

well...... if you want some good quality tools.... look up "Stahl Wille" , "Dowidat" and/or "Belzer" .... I have a few wrenches of those brands, I think none of those exist anymore..... some of those wrenches I got from my grandpa so these are at least 50 years old..... all metric of course :D

That's what I have, Belzer tools. But only the old belzer, not sandvik belzer. Best tools you can get here, period :)

hey Marck, just went to my toolbox in the garage ... out of curiosity I had to see how many of the old wrenches I still have.... found a few..... some only say DIN 895 (forged) ..... and "West Germany" .... LOL.... good ole times....

Even new parts of the used-to-be-top-end-suppliers are trading of quality for profit and get their parts from the Chinese. It makes you even want to cry. I sometimes rather buy a used old, but known quality tool, than that.

Anyway, just had a discussion on another forum about Chinese parts. I was telling them about my experience handling business related claims with faulty Chinese parts in them. This guy went as far as to accuse me of ignorance and racism....go figure. Who can someone betray his country and fellow countrymen like that. Belgium sure is not the best country in the world, but I wouldn't even do that.

For some people words are not even enough to describe them. The would even sell their own mother if it would give them profit...

Wehrmacht?? decal?? wait a minit, that from WW2?? THAT old and still around??? YGTBFKM.......

Question in general for you guys, I heard all sorts of stories over the years about the reunification of E-W Germany, and the problems it was causing the West.....so I hear nothing over the last several years now....

So I guess they rebuilt the entire joint by now, and things chilled out....

OR????
