I always said I prefer the heat over the cold. Lately I just don't know. Any kind of physical effort outside of the air conditioning results in me becoming soaked in sweat to the point where it drips on anything I am working on and/or obscures my glasses to the point of making them impossible to see through. On top of that my thinking slows down and I start to get miserable from all of it. First I couldn't work on the 'Vette because it was too cold, now it's too damned hot! The weather lady says another seven days of temps. in the 90's and high humidity..... the humidity - ugh!:suicide:
 
I don't disagree with the global warming thing, I just don't feel that it is 100% man made. We have gone through ice ages and polar meltdowns several times in Earths' history. And I wouldn't mind the heat so much if it wasn't so sticky on top of it. Today we have temps in the 90's and lower humidity and it is very pleasant. No excuses today, I will have to do some chores around here to earn my keep.
 
It's been hovering in the upper 90's getting close to 100 every day for the last couple of weeks here...add humidity to that and it has been misserable. Although, I was in Florida in July many times before and that is truley misserable.

Yesterday I replaced an exhaust mani gasket, flange gasket and donut...was completely soaked when finished. The pisser is.......I didn't fix the leak:lol:

I prefer to work in the cold any day over this.

I don't know if you are among this group but i think anyone who's gonna be worm food in the next 20 years (old codgers) should stay out of it. You're f-ing with someone elese's future for your own convenience. Ain't it bad enough the boomers have charged up the credit card way way over the limit?

Old f-ers who think warming is BS ( and a lot of them are old f-ers) just won't be around to experience the 150 degree day if their expert opinion happens to be wrong.

Stop whining! It's been over 100 here for 27 days now. It's been as high as 111* The other day I was on my way to work at 6:30 am and it was 90*. No end in sight.

Went out on a bud's boat today, left house at 5am.....on the water by 8 and they went diving....ran around a bit, headed for home, took only 45 minits....

then clean the boat up, and lemme tell you I"m passing out from the smell, and I was just the BOAT tender, I don't dive....

them other two guys in their black dive suits.....

well lets just say they ready for some beer upon surfacing.....

but it IS first of August, and FLORIDA nice breeze though, so tolerable, NO bimini...so no shade....

Meanwhile, out here in the desert southwest, we're having a relatively mild (for us) summer so far <knock on wood>. So you GW believers, for every down side, there's usually an upside. Hasn't been over 110* so far this year, and that's unusual. Of course, the hottest month of the year in Vegas is generally August so all bets are off in the next few days.

Um, edit, ...come think of it, the wind is caused by higher pressure air blowing to lower pressure are, for what ever reason.....

so If the wind blows, it flows from hi to lo.....

but if the wind indeed sux, the lo is robbing the high of it's air....

and that sux....

Well now i can sleep better at night knowing you've got it all figured for us.
 
HaHa just been out driving my 79 in the RAIN. Temps are about 15/20c(58/68f) and even had heater on for a bit. Mind you it gets to about 120f here in summer very regular and i hate it.:)
 
Hey Shipy, I've always kind of wondered about you fellows down in Oz. Isn't this your winter? What's it like having Christmas in 100*? Kind of hard to get in the spirit, eh?
 
I hate cold winters, and with over 40 days with 100*+ days so far in Austin, I want to retire in a more moderate climate. This heat just plain sucks. And as far as "man-made" global warming....find Al Gore.... if you can. NASA just released more global warming de-bunk evidence last week.

Yeh, but them weenies will just search and search till they find yet another smelly snail fish to shut down 40k farmers like they did in San Wahkeen valley there in Pelosi country....

even IF I could spell it korrectly, I will try my best to anglosize all that spanish spelling so it can be read nice and easy....:hissyfit:
