Lower Dash Pad

Like most C3's I have seen, the lower dash pad warps away from the center console. My driver side is ok, but the passenger side is out about 1/2 inch.

I was thinking a heat gun on the back side and then bend it back in place. The backing is not cracked.

Anyone been able to get it back to it's original shape?

Hate to say it, but same thing happened to the large hardtop shell liner for my '72.....the vinyl has dried and shrunk, and so pulled that plastic form out of line.....I dunno if you can heat it enough to pull it back without cracking or not.....

on my hardtop, I just pulled the brittle vinyl and recovered it all with soft black fuzzy shit from a store....stored it here in Florida, totally unused for years, finally sold the top....

as to leave it like that, I would try a paint stripper heat gun heating the base form plastic first then very quick on the vinyl and pull it back that a way.....
