Well, it is back. I hope they get lots of views. Looking for this is kind of what started this thread.

The guy driving the tow vehicle died not long after this was filmed. He was pretty young, maybe early fifties.

I’m a semi-professional Corvette racer also.
This video show me, my Co-pilot Fred & Navigator Debbie.
Only lost to a C5R by a very small margin but the track was wet.

We have “raced” these C5R’s 4-5 times at Limerock & once at Sebring. And video taped all of them races for my “competition” license.

There was lots of laughter. Bobby Rahal even crossed our path in one “race” at Limerock - almost ran him down. 1800+views & only 2 likes. Perhaps other drivers must be envious of our skill. ☺
We are real Corvette groupies.

Cool car. Thanks for sharing all those.

YouTube views and likes are kind of weird. I think it takes one video to go viral, then you get subscribers, views, and likes. The 1320 guy did a video discussing his first viral video. It was on Tom Baily’s car, filmed in the hotel parking lot. That guy lives off his YouTube income (I think).

Me, I use YouTube more like a replacement for photobucket. :). Just for sharing mostly photos.

Still wearing the original CA plates last tagged in 1973!
Mechanically gone through and back on the road after 20+ years!

That's a time capsule.

You hear about these cars that someone purchased and then abandoned for years. Must be like an automotive hoarder that has too much money.

Yes, for sure.

Well, I can relate. Getting older you slow down. Plus, priorities change and typically you have more money and stuff collects dust.

Every now and then I stumble across something interesting, and figure it’s worth linking here.

I have been looking for that legendary motor cars series where they slightly modify a c6z and race his c3 vintage race car. Granted the z had a pro driver, but it really showed how good a z is pretty much from the factory.

I can’t find it anymore.

Pretty tricky to start a car like that. I couldn't remember those instruction if I was taking notes.

I thought the kid was going to drive away.

:) Yeah, I don’t think the owner would have liked that.

Funny, there is a c2 race car close to me for sale, but I keep telling myself “no” as it has no vin. Everything I see is that you could never title it. Then I see video’s like the one above and want to buy it. :)

This guy is working on a c3, kind of interesting.

Did you notice the seat in the C3 build above? Not sure how you would actually drive a car with the seat laid back like that.

:) :)

I did notice.

Kirkey makes an adjustable layback seat now. So the front of the seat doesn’t get so high.

This young guy pieced together a 63 from a bunch of cars.
