My HVAC obssesion continues

They say they are not as efficient. My bill was HIGHER with the "temp" window units.

You're right. Window mount AC units are about as thermally (RE: economically) efficient as fireplaces. If you want to do individual 'zoned' cooling, you need a mini-split AC system---like a whole house AC, but only for each area. You can use one outside condenser for several individual room units as well. Plus they make them as heat pumps, so you can use them for heat too in temperate climates. They are not uncommon in those goddam socialist countries over in U-rope where electricity costs a lot.....

seriously thinking of abandoning the HVAC next summer for just room a/c units....

Yeh, I know, but running ducts through the super heated 140f+ attic, certainly looses a lot....I loose about 7f from discharge to end of the major run....that's a LOT I think, need get them wrapped and more insulation in the attic, but it's been put off due to this Jed's Clamper project...

:shocking:

Bird try this idea with your balloon deal. It sure would save you money on your utilities.:chinese:
