Power steering pump question.

'69 p/s pump shaft size?

Anybody know what the shaft size is on the stock p/s pump on my '69? The pump is still on the car (and too buried to get a good look/measurement) and I was just kicking around pulley swapping options/sources if the old/new pump weight differences aren't significant enough to justify the new bracket fabrication and hose cost.

Thanks,
Mike

I don't have one here but IIRC, it's 5/8"

That looks like the same size as the extra (non-Corvette) pumps I've got in the garage. I'm running behind schedule so far this fall, so I might just entertain swapping pulleys instead of the whole pump. I've got the stock cast iron dual groove pulley on the pump at the moment. With the alternator moved to the engine's right side I no longer need both grooves, and I'd like to put a lighter pulley on it. I need to find out what this iron pulley weighs so I can see what the time/benefit ratio for this swap might be.

Odd, my '72 pulley was a single groove light stamping....IIRC I think ~5" diameter....
