Qjet rebuilders?

I used Cliff's book, and it was easy to follow, great information and pics. On top of that, I was able to call Cliff and talk to him many times for suggestions and recommendations. It might be worth picking that book up too if you don't already have it...

Cliff is also frequently at V8Buick.com, he has answered several of my questions on the forum.

Just this morning I shipped the original carb to Ole's.

Hoping for the best I took the car to the scurviest lowlife scumbag bitch C*** I knew with permission to make adjustments as required, Sadly that POS whore got a stroke of honesty and failed me.

Problem is a leak at the right rearmost side of the intake manifold when it's hot. I've tried many times to have it fixed and the mechanics all slide away. I'll have to do it myself and find out why it's so odious.

There's a ton of worthless hoses crossing around, there's the china wall seal, there's a bunch of greasy assed bolts.

I didn't want to do it but now I will....:censored:

Clean it up with purple power and go at it. Intake manifold gaskets can be done in a couple of hours. One of the easier things to do.

The mechanics don't want to touch an easy job like that?. Vacuum leak like that may be the source of the percieved carb issues..... so the carb may be fine.

That's been my thought, running lean at low RPM's but it runs great when total airflow minimizes the leak effect. The carb in use does have bad throttle bushings so I sent the original one out for overhaul.

I'll probably pull it off today as I cleaned it up pretty well yesterday.:drink:
